Articles and Information to Assist in the 'Life' process What You Say Is What You Get - The Power Of AffirmationsAffirmations are statements of what you want in your life. Some people have trouble with affirmations because they feel they are not speaking the truth when they use an affirmation. For instance, if you are sick and you say, I am whole, healthy, and energised, it might feel like a lie; however, affirmations are not the facts of your current situation. They represent the experiences you want to have in your life. Affirmations are not a method of communication they are a tool of creation. If you want to tell your neighbour about the facts in your life, you wouldnt use an affirmation. But, if on the other hand you want to create a new reality, then you would. Remember, even your idle words have power. Talking about the facts of your current problem adds energy to those problems. Use the power of your words to create what you want in your life, not what you dont want. Your words have more power in your life than the opinions of the people around you. Use your words wisely. Develop affirmations that represent the life you would like to live. Use those affirmations on a consistent basis. Watch your life transform to reflect the power of your words. An affirmation is a positive statement expressed in the present tense. It should not contain references to what you dont want - only what you do want. Keep all statements positive and in the present tense referring to the condition you are trying to create. Learn to use the power of affirmations and your life will reflect the new image your words express. ![]() You Are What You Think - The Power of ThoughtsThoughts affect us in a number of ways. Thoughts are a vital tool in creating the reality we experience. They create our emotional states. They affect our bodies and, therefore, our health. Thoughts influence our responses to life and our relationships. Thoughts determine our choices. Take a moment to write down three thoughts you have had today. Do not make this too complicated. Simply write down three thoughts you have had in the last 24 hours. Any three thoughts will do. Please do this before you read the next section. It will help you to apply those ideas to your life. Record these thoughts in a journal of some sort. Categories of ThoughtsThoughts can be divided into three broad categories: what I want, or positive thoughts; what I can do, or action thoughts; what I don't want, or worry thoughts. Most thoughts are about the future or the past. Very few of us are able to stay centered in the present moment. For the sake of clarity, let us assume I have an upcoming medical procedure that is occupying most of my thoughts. If I am thinking about how fortunate I am to have an excellent surgeon, I am thinking positive thoughts. If I am thinking about the activities I need to do to prepare for the surgery, I am thinking action thoughts. If I am thinking about what can go wrong in surgery, I am thinking worry thoughts. Worry ThoughtsIf you were surprised to find most of your thoughts were worry thoughts, you are not alone. Most people are not aware of their thoughts. They go through the day with uncensored mental programming playing in the background of their minds. They experience feelings and reactions that they do not understand. They believe their emotions and thoughts are something that happens to them; something over which they have little or no control. Many people feel it is their duty to worry. They adamantly defend their worry thoughts. They believe that if they do not worry they have not done all they could to prevent something negative from happening. These people resist positive thoughts because they see no value in them. In their mind thoughts cannot affect the outcome of a situation, so why waste time thinking positive. It is almost as if the negative thoughts are preparing them for the worst possible scenario. For most worry thinkers, such mental activity is learned behaviour based on faulty information about the power of thoughts. Let us examine some of the premises upon which worry thinking is based. Note which of the statements listed below seem true to you. These may be some of the beliefs out of which your worry thinking has developed. My thoughts are a reflection of who I am. I cannot control them, they simply happen to me. You are not your thoughts. Thoughts are an activity of your mind. You have the right and the responsibility to choose your thoughts. Your thoughts are based on the things you believe about the world. They are a perfect reflection of your core beliefs, not your True Identity. At some point in your life you accepted certain belief systems out of which your thoughts are formed. You can change your beliefs and your thoughts. Many of my thoughts are unconscious; therefore, I cannot know what they are. Thoughts are readily available in your mind. You may not easily see them because you do not consciously listen to your thoughts. You allow them to play repetitively in the background of your mind. When you focus your awareness on your thoughts you will be amazed at what you spend your time thinking. My thoughts have no effect on my emotions or the events of my life. Emotion follows thought. If you are thinking positive thoughts you will feel hopeful and uplifted. Worry thoughts create fear and anxiety. Worry thoughts inhibit the flow of energy blocking you from taking action in your life. Positive thoughts stimulate activity, assisting you in transforming your life. Worry thoughts keep you from seeing options, blinding you to possible solutions to your problems. Positive thought relaxes your thinking processes allowing you to see new ideas and recognize opportunities. The fear and anxiety caused by worry thoughts will flow into your personal relationships, creating discord and conflict. The joy caused by positive thinking will improve every aspect of your life. Positive thought enhances the body's immune system, while worry thoughts inhibit the body's natural healing response. If I do not worry, I have not done all I can to prevent disaster from happening in my life. As I mentioned earlier, worry thoughts inhibit action. Action thoughts are fundamental to preventing disaster. When you have taken all the action there is to do, thinking positive thoughts is the most productive action you can take. There is no positive benefit to worrying. If I spend all my time thinking positive thoughts and disaster comes anyway, I would have wasted my time. I believe faith and positive thought create positive events in your life; but, even if that were not true, thinking positive thoughts has tremendous benefits for you. Positive thoughts create healing, produce enjoyable emotions, and reduce the stress in your life. Positive thought stimulates you to look for solutions to your situation and increases the energy you have to take action. Positive thought makes the journey worthwhile no matter what the outcome. If I don't worry, I won't be prepared for the worst possible scenario. If the worst possible scenario does happen (and it rarely does), you will have plenty of time to be upset when it arrives. Spending months in anxiety does not prepare you for anything. You cannot pre-experience emotions caused by a disaster. Worrying ahead of time will simply weaken you, limiting your natural ability to cope with crisis or loss. Thoughts As A Tool of CreationIf you want to learn to soar above every situation in your life, you must learn to use your thoughts to create the reality of your choice. Earlier we discussed the way thought affects our emotions, responses, and our ability to see options and take actions. Thoughts, combined with emotion, create specific outcomes in your life. You can use thoughts to create the events in your life and not simply to affect how you respond to events life brings to you. Thoughts combined with emotion are fundamental to creation. When people first learn about the power of thought, they fear every passing thought. It is not random thoughts that create your reality; it is those thoughts you predominately have which produce such a powerful effect in your life. Creating reality with thought is similar to the process of hypnosis. You must focus all of your attention on the thoughts of what you want to create. Combined with an intense feeling, your thought goes forth to produce what you desire. ![]() Seeing Is Believing - The Power of VisualisationVisualisation is easy to use. Like all the other tools of creation, we use visualisation every day to create our experience of reality. Daydreaming, fantasising, mental rehearsals, and imagination are all examples of visualisation. We have all daydreamed about an upcoming holiday or a visit with a favourite friend. Many of us have fantasised about winning the lottery or getting a better job. Unfortunately, due to lack of knowledge about the power of our images, we also often use visualisation to create experiences we do not want in our lives. We mentally rehearse our greatest fears over and over in our minds. Have you ever imagined how you would respond if you were robbed or attacked, mentally rehearsed an imagined arguments with a co-worker, had a daydream about the death of a loved one, or imagined the worst possible outcome to a situation you were experiencing? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are using the powerful force of mental imagery to create things you do not desire in your life. Although humanity has always used some form of mental imagery, it has only been in the last few years that the power of visualisation techniques have been taught widely in our society. Businesses train their employees to use visualisation to improve performance and production. Coaches use visualisation with athletes because research has shown that mental rehearsal is an effective way to increase athletic performance. Students use visualisation to improve test scores while therapists use imagery to enhance relaxation skills. Dieters are taught to image a thin and beautiful body. Medical scientists have watched the power of mental imagery increase the immune system as well as lower a persons blood pressure and heart rate; therefore, medical professionals often teach patients visualisation techniques to assist in their healing process. Visualisation techniques can be applied to many areas of your life, and if you will use them to consciously create what you want to experience, these techniques will assist you in soaring above the crisis. Positive Visualisation The two components of an effective positive visualisation technique are a clear image of what you want to create combined with a strong positive emotion. Mental images do not always come in the form of a picture. Some people use words, thoughts, or sensations to create a mental image. You can determine what components you use to create mental images by observing your daydreams or fantasies. Do you see clear pictures, or do your daydreams consist of blurred images with clear thoughts? Visualisation Process The first step in doing a positive visualisation is determining what you want to create in your life. If you do not know specifically what it is you want to manifest in your life, you can create with broad brushstrokes. Broad brushstrokes define the general events in your life while omitting the specific details. For instance, you may not know the particular person you would like to have as a life partner, so you visualise yourself in a relationship that is harmonious, joyful, and romantic. You imagine yourself and your future partner sharing a fun and fulfilling life. You generate the feelings of love and joy as you create these images in your mind. Once you have created the broad brushstrokes, you patiently wait as the Universe fills in the details of the picture you have created. If you are certain of the specific details you want to manifest, you can clearly imagine these events in your minds eye. There is nothing wrong with creating something specific; however, manifestation often comes more quickly if you leave the details of your creation to your Higher Self. If you need a new car, you can trust that the Universe will bring you the very best car possible. Visualise yourself driving a beautiful car without seeing a particular model or colour; then wait for the Universe to surprise you with something better than you could have imagined. Visualisation is a powerful tool of consciousness. Combine visualisation with affirmations, and positive thinking, add a touch of faith, and you have the magical ingredients of co-creating the life that you want. ![]() Finding your Hearts DesireBy Sonia Choquette Many people seek their hearts desire yet have the greatest difficulty discovering what that is exactly. Most are quite frustrated and confused because they dont even know where to begin to find it. One of the greatest blocks that many people set up for themselves is trying to figure out what they want versus simply listening to their heart. What you have to realise is that you will never find the answers in your head figuring it out because it isnt in your head that you find your hearts desire, its in your heart. In fact the only thing that comes from trying to figure things out is confusion and stress especially when you are trying to tune into what is really important to you. So when it comes to naming your hearts desire whatever you do, never try to figure it out. Its far better to listen to your heart and to feel your way through it thats where you will find the answers. As spiritual beings, we create with out feelings, and especially the feelings of genuine caring. So whenever you get stuck you have to ask yourself what do I really care about today? What do I love? What makes me laugh? What expands my heart and leaves me filled with joy? What brings me pleasure and satisfaction? What makes me smile and feel alive? - Answering these questions connects you to your true desires in the moment and to your spirit as well which leads you directly to success. For example, I spoke with one woman at a conference over lunch and she told me that she was mulling over creating one of three hearts desires. The first, she said was creating a marketing company to give people product information on the web. When she told me this, her face was flat, her energy low. The second heart's desire, she continued, was to get rid of her ex-husband once and for all. When she shared this, her face turned grey and cloudy and her energy balled up in an angry knot. The third heart's desire, she said finally, was to start a company that offered walking tours through Hong Kong where she lived. When she suggested this, her face lit up like a Christmas tree, she smiled broadly like a child, and her energy soared and even made me happy. Her energy was so infectious I wanted to be her first client. I voted for the third choice. What do you think? Another clue in creating your heart's desire is to keep your focus on the present. That's because you will honestly find it very difficult to genuinely care with any heartfelt energy and enthusiasm about things that are off in the far distant future. You can try, but it will be your intellect that is trying, and - your intellect has no spark, no creative juice, and no fire to ignite a true creation in you. Don't get me wrong. Using your brain is ok - and its an invaluable tool when it comes to supporting goals and dreams, but it only gets in the way if you try to think your way to what gives you passion. If you stay in your heart and keep your focus on the present you will be much more successful. Ask of yourself, What do I want to create this year? Better yet, this month? Even better, this week? Or best, what do I want to create today. If caring is the secret ingredient to creating your heart's desire, then it only stands to reason that you will care far more about today than some vague moment a year from now. If you are really stuck in figuring out your heart's desires - use this exercise and you may find that it works a miracle. Ask yourself, If I weren't so afraid I would ...... And then fill in the blank. Do this exercise every day for a week and see what surfaces. By the end of the week, if you do this exercise faithfully, I assure you that your heart will be singing and your spirit will be leading you to exactly what you want right now. The best part in creating your heart's desire is that as you seek your heart's desire you will attract others who share your enthusiasm. It may even open the hearts of those around you. This is because we affect one another on an energetic and vibrational level at all times. According to spiritual teachers the best way to serve the planet is to live your heart's desire fully. What a wonderful assignment! So listen to your heart and live your heart fully. Speak your heart out loud and often and follow your spirit as it answers. Best of all share your success along the way. It will serve us all. Happy Creations!! Love and blessings, Sonia ![]() Unplan Your LifeAt the point you decide to stop rushing about controlling each bit of your life and let natural Divine Order take its course instead, you have reached a landmark and major turning point in your 3rd dimensional career on Earth. When you decide to drop the programming of lifetimes that tells you that you have to stay on top of everything, you have made a major leap in your evolution. Maybe you have concluded (after numerous emotional traumas) that the route youve been following could be a bit more fun! As you climb above the latest chaos that the Universe has sent to test your wits, a desperation takes place oops! I mean awareness - that tells you that maybe it is time to Let go and let God'. After all, we hear that in the end, we have to do this anyway. Perhaps it is an easier route, so why not try it! OK. Here it is straight - exactly how it is. Once you have surrendered, allowing yourself to follow your intuition (inner tuition) in each moment, you are now in the flow of the natural order of the Universe. Life now takes a major swing into the positive stakes. Faith and trust comes hand in hand with this resolution to stay free of the dictates of your mind and emotions and be guided by your spirit/heart/intuition. At first it may not seem so easy, as the old fears and 'need for security' flash past your mind and you break out in a sweat with visions of being cast out penniless onto the street. Release, trust and detachment are needed here. Release the fear, trust the Divine process and 'detach from all outcomes.' Maintain a spiritual viewpoint, not a 3rd dimensional one. Recognise that a part of your mind is presenting you with a fear and just let it go. Keep re-focusing back to Divine faith and trust. Stay centred. Dont allow yourself to be thrown off balance. Once this mode of operation is established, you find you are living in each moment, saying and doing only what resonates and feels right to you. You will know you have really made it, when you can remain focused on the Light, loving everyone and everything, acting without judgement or criticism, trusting in the Divine plan and the abundance of the Universe, even if World War 3 were to break out around you. Now you are the Christ Consciousness. Because you are actually present in each moment and not being distracted by the myriad of 3rd dimensional details involved in the 'planning out' of your life, you now easily see the subtle signs reflecting lifes lessons. With your new awareness and perception, you won't need to experience the brick walls and traumas anymore. Now you can use your higher mind, blended with Spirit. Lessons are presented lightly and rapidly. Everything now moves quickly and joyfully, and you experience great leaps taking place in your personal evolution. From this place of being, you will know what you need to know, when you need to know it. You are now able to easily carry out the Service role you came here to do. The weight of the world lifts, as struggle, effort, pain and suffering are replaced by joy, happiness, love and excitement. Now you can live in the world, but are not of it. You just became the truth - Spirit. There is nothing else you need to do. Just remain in the flow. You have gone beyond what was and what will be, and moved into 'now'. Now you discover the sublime joy of Service and Unconditional Love. Now life begins. Sandy Stevenson ![]() Twin Flames, Soul Mates? How do you know when you have met your twin-flame, the complement of your own essence?.... First, let me distinguish between soul-mates and twin-flames, for they are actually two very different complements... By my own understanding, we each have many "Soul-Mates", those kindred souls upon Earth with us, from our own higher-dimensional soul-family. Soul-mates usually have agreements with each other prior to coming into this life as to what role each will play in the "theatre" of life. Soul-mates are usually of complementary vibrations, and work together as a sort of soul "family", assisting each other in Spiritual growth and discovery of Self... Soul-mates can be brothers, sisters, friends, co-workers, or in intimate partnerships with each other, but share a close bond and understanding on many different levels and lifetimes. However, soul-mates are usually two different Higher Selves, different souls that are part of the same "family" or frequency in a spiritual sense. Twin-Souls are another matter entirely... They are actually two polarities of the same original soul-essence. They maintain different personalities and natures, yet each complements the other, almost like two puzzle pieces fitting together where they are very different, forming another completely unique essence. Each twin-flame must be very strong in their own self and spiritual awareness before it is possible for them to unite totally on the Earth plane, for only then is it possible to ascend and reunite all levels of being on all planes of existence. In this process, their two selves will remain distinctly unique, like two separate circles of personality, yet there is a center "melding" point where the male and female unite as the circles overlap in the center, forming a third, the sacred trinity... According to the book, "Twin-Souls", by Joudry and Pressman: "At the summit, (of ascension) is perfected love, every created soul loving every other. The foundation is the love of men and women. Whenever people meet in love exchange, there is an ascension of their souls. When Twin-souls reunite, the ascendance is jet-propelled. The twin-souls join the God force that draws all life upward. They are more than the sum of two; they are three..." "Close as they will be when they find each other upon Earth, the one soul will still inhabit two individual bodies, (and personalities/egos). They will grow in oneness increasingly as they scale the heights of spiritual existence in the after-world. Yet they forever retain their individual natures within the unified soul. Bulgarian Master Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov also has a beautiful description of Twin-souls: "Every human being has a twin-soul. When man leapt like a spark from the bosom of his Creator he was two-in-one, and these two parts complemented each other perfectly, each was the others twin. These two halves became separated, they took different directions, and they have evolved separately. If they come to recognize each other at any point in their evolution, it is because each carries the image of the other in the depth of his being, each has put his seal upon the other. Thus, each carries the image of his twin-soul within. The image may be blurred but it is there. For this reason, everyone who comes to Earth has a vague hope that he will find a soul who will be everything he needs, and that with this soul he will find indescribable harmony and perfect fusion. Twin-souls complete each other; no other person in the world can so complete them. Thus, all beings you have met since the beginning of your multiple incarnations, all the husbands and wives you've had, all the lovers or mistresses, have all left you, because they were not for you. Perhaps you were together for a while, like a pot with a lid that doesn't match. Whereas two Souls whom God has created together are absolutely made one for the other, and nothing can separate them, truly, they have no fear of being separated. In a married couple, when one or the other is AFRAID that someone may 'rob' him of his partner, (and nothing can keep this from happening), it is because that partner is not truly the beloved, not the TRUE beloved, the twin-soul...Twin souls recognize each other with absolute certainty and can never truly leave one another." Where is our twin-soul, and how can we reunite? The twin-soul may actually be very near, either someone you have known all your life, or else just on the edge of your perception, awaiting the last steps you both need to take in growing in order to reunite. The true union can only take place AFTER the point of reunion has occurred within ourselves, and our male and female energies are balanced within.... Eriel Morningstar http://www.angelsuniverse.com ![]() Something to Think About:When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar...and the coffee . A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some things in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the empty areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes." The professor then produced two cups of coffee and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. "Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favourite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else - the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. "Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a cup of coffee with a friend." Please share this with someone you care about. ![]() When you were born, you didn't come with an owner's manual; These guidelines May make life work better: - 1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it's the only thing you are sure to keep for the rest of your life. 2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called "Life on Planet Earth". Every person or incident is the Universal Teacher. 3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of experimentation. "Failures" are as much a part of the process as "success." 4. A lesson is repeated until learned. It is presented to you in various forms until you learn it: then you can go on to the next lesson. 5. If you don't learn easy lessons, they get harder. External problems are a precise reflection of your internal state. When you clear inner obstructions, youre outside world changes. Pain is how the universe gets your attention. 6. You will know you've learned a lesson when your actions change. Wisdom is practice. A little of something is better than a lot of nothing. 7. "There" is no better than "here". When your "there" becomes a "here" you will simply obtain another "there" that again looks better than "here." 8. Others are only mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another unless it reflects something you love or hate in yourself. 9. Your life is up to you. Life provides the canvas; you do the painting. Take charge of your life, or someone else will. 10. You always get what you want. Your subconscious rightfully determines what energies, experiences, and people you attract; therefore, the only foolproof way to know what you want is to see what you have. There are no victims, only students. 11. There is no right or wrong, but there are consequences. Moralizing doesn't help. Judgments only hold the patterns in place. Just do your best. 12. Your answers lie inside you. Children need guidance from others; as we mature, we trust our hearts, where the Laws of Spirit are written. You know more than you have heard or read or been told. All you need to do is to look, listen, and trust. 13. You can remember any time you wish. 14. You will forget all this. ![]() The Obstacle in our Path.In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition. ![]() We won't always know whose lives we touched and made better for our having cared, because actions can sometimes have unforeseen ramifications.
